CORE OBJECTIVES OF IIFW
(Indian Independent Filmmakers Worldwide)
To promote, support and nurture independent cinema by Indian filmmakers and filmmakers of Indian origin anywhere in the world.

To create a global network of Indian independent filmmakers and filmmakers of Indian origin residing all over the world.

To create a database of organizations and institutions across the world that support independent film making – which would include – Govt. agencies, financers, film funds, distributors, sales agents, completion bond agencies, film festivals, etc.

To create an organization which will provide a platform to discuss and debate issues and policies that affects independent filmmakers and provides an organized voice for their needs and aspirations.

To facilitate and support international co-productions and joint ventures amongst independent filmmakers from all over the world.

To create a portal providing relevant information and a channel of constant communication between independent filmmakers.

To provide representation and support for Independent Indian filmmakers and filmmakers of Indian origin, at important international forums and platforms.

To facilitate the development, production, distribution, exhibition of Independent Indian cinema around the world and to provide services that facilitate all of the above.

To organize workshops, seminars having programmes and interactive forums etc. that facilitate and support Independent Indian cinema and filmmakers.
Others key initiatives on the agenda for IIF Worldwide are :

An annual festival of Indian independent cinema – to showcase the essence of independent Indian cinema.

Indian independent cinema awards – to recognize the best talent in independent Indian cinema.

Indian cinema to provide exhibition outlets for independent cinema from all over the world.

Workshops and seminars - to constantly upgrade and enhance the technical skills and creative excellence amongst members.

The Visionary Program
An initiative by IIFW – (Indian Independent Filmmakers Worldwide) and the ICG-(International Centre ,Goa).
IIFW, global organization of Indian Independent Filmmakers of Indian origin, to promote, support and nurture the independent cinema movement conducted a two day seminar/workshop on the subject –The Future of Cinema in a multimedia, globalized world. Was held on the 20th and 21st of March at the International Centre, Goa.
This was the first of a series of four such events over the year planned at ICG.To deciphering and discussing ,analyzing and understanding and to cultivate the culture of Indian Cinema in India.
And to emerging patterns in the global media.
The two day workshop discussed the crisis of scriptwriting in contemporary cinema and the challenges of International collaborations and Co productions.
The participants included- well known film producer/director- Ketan Mehta, well known Actor ,scriptwriter, producer- Deepa Sahi, Bhuvan Lall – Film Journalist and Producer, Vipin Sharma – Actor and Scriptwriter, Agnes Fernandes – Hungarian Scriptwriter and Filmmaker, Eric Edmeades CEO Kerner Optical(formerly known as ILM) , Jessica Dhillon- Kerner Opticals and Staré Yildirim, a Producer and Filmmaker from Turkey.
On the 20th March evening the screening of the International Version of Ketan Mehta’s Latest Film titled ‘Rang Rasiya’ was held in ESG, Goa which was followed by a Q & A session with the filmmaker.
The event was well attended and was inaugurated by PRATAP SINGH RANE former CM and the current speaker of the Legislative Assembly in Goa.
